Pakistan: Sindh Government raises sugarcane price

The Sindh government in Pakistan has made a decision to set the price for sugarcane at Rs425 for every 40 kilograms. This change was announced through an official notification, ARY News reported.

This new price is much higher than before and will be used for the upcoming crop. In the previous year, Sindh had set the price at Rs 250, while Punjab had set its rate at Rs 230 for each maund.

Back in July, the cost of sugar went up a lot. It reached a high of Rs160 for one kilogram in various stores across different places in Pakistan. This increase happened because of the growing inflation, which makes things cost more.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the cost of sugar in stores went up to Rs150 in different parts of the country, like Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. This news has led to discussions about how prices are changing and how it affects people.
