The sugar mill has begun operations after a break of two years. The mill was not operating in 2019-20 and 2020-21 crushing seasons due to severe drought in the region, said the officials.
As many as 48 lorries, 50 tractors, 14 tippers, and 26 bullock carts have been deployed to harvest the cane grown in the region and transport it to the mill for crushing. The mill administration has appealed to the farmers to send their cane to the mill in time.
