Gorakhpur: Pipraich sugar mill has completed the preparations to commence cane crushing season from October 16.
As per a news report published in Jagran.com, Sugarcane secretary Sanjay R Bhoosreddy said that the instructions have been given to the mill to be prepared to start up cane crushing operations.
He asked the mill administration to clear the technical glitches if any before starting the crushing operations.
Earlier, while fixing the date for the start of the new crushing season, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that on the demand of the farmers, sugar mills would start in the western region from October 20, while in the central region from October 25. Similarly, the mills in the eastern region will start from the first week of November.
