Post Budget, Sensex down 400 points

Mumbai: Post Budget, Domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex today falls over 400 points in early trade on July 8, 201. The BSE Sensex was trading at 405.67 points lower at 39,107.72 at 9.30 am. Similarly Nifty fell 128 points to 11,683.15.

Top losers in the Sensex pack included Hero Maruti, Tata Motor, L&T, Bajaj Auto, MotoCorp, M&M, and HUL, falling up to 3.44 per cent.

PowerGrid, Sun Pharma, Yes Bank, Vedanta, HCL Tech were among the top gainers, rising up to 6 per cent.

On the currency front, the Indian rupee falls 15 paise to 68.57 against the US dollar.

The global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.06 per cent higher at 64.27 per barrel.
