Ponda: As many as 161 sugarcane farmers associated with the Sanjivani Sugar mill will receive their pending grants by May end, said Narendra Sawaikar, chairman of the Sugarcane Farmers Facilitation Committee, reports Herald Goa.
Sawaikar also informed that the process of the Ethanol project would be completed by June.
After Sanjivani Sugar mill was shut down, the state government had announced giving grants to the cane farmers for five years and the amount has been deposited in the bank, he said.
