Puducherry: The ration card holders in Union Territory will get two kg sugar and 10 kg free rice soon, said Chief Minister N Rangaswamy.
Speaking to reporters he said that the government has floated a tender for this and is under consideration for further process.
During the reign of the earlier Congress-DMK government, the people used to get cash against sugar that was deposited in their bank accounts and the N R Congress-BJP government changed it with the consent of the Union government and took steps to provide rice and sugar through the ration shops.
