Chandigarh: Farmers under the banner of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha have announced to protest against the state government on August 3 over several issues including the non-payment of sugarcane dues and compensation for cotton crop damaged by whitefly, reports PTI

Jagjit Singh Dallewal, president of Bharti Kisan Union (Sidhupur) said that farmers have decided to block national highways at Majha, Malwa and Doaba on that day.
