Raizen signs agreement with Brazilian airline company Azul to supply aviation fuel

Raizen S. A. Has signed a long-term agreement with Brazil’s largest airline company Azul Linhas aereas Brasileiras S.A. (“Azul”) to supply aviation fuel, the company has informed its shareholders.

Raizen will supply aviation fuel to 45 airports owned by Azul initially and the partnership is expected to develop strategic initiatives involving Shell Box and the TudoAzul loyalty program, besides supplying power generated by Raizen through distributed generation and distribution of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in due course.

Azul offers approximately 900 daily flights serving more than 150 national and international destinations, resulting in a network of more than 300 non-stop routes. The company has an operational fleet of more than 160 passenger aircrafts and its loyalty program TudoAzul has more than 14 million members.

Raizen has stated that the agreement will help the company to expand its share of the aviation market in Brazil by optimizing logistic and commercial infrastructure and strengthening relations with clients by offering solutions that drive operations.
