Rupee down by 4 paise against USD

The Rupee on Thursday remained weak for the third straight session as it fell by four paise to 69.87 on persistent foreign funds outflows, dealer at Forex Market informed.

The local unit rose by 12 paise to 69.71 in early trade. Later, it erased earlier gain and finished negative at 69.87, sliding by four paise as compared to its last close.

High osccillation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 69.69 and 69.92 respectively.

The Indian currency dropped owing to firm dollar against other world currencies, however rebounding equity market capped from further down, they added.
