New Delhi: Dalmia Bharat Sugar has started manufacturing hand sanitiser at its distillery units in Kolhapur in Maharashtra and at Jawaharpur and Nigohi in Uttar Pradesh. Hand sanitiser helps in fighting against the coronavirus pandemic.
The company stated that the sanitiser is packed in 5, 10, 20 litre bottles for commercial purposes and has distributed to the government free of cost. The company has stated that this would not increase the profit of the company.
The company is involved in sugar production, power generation, manufacture of industrial alcohol and refractory products.
According to the data from the state government, total 72 companies including sugar mills are engaged in the production of hand sanitiser in Uttar Pradesh. At present these companies produce 1,50,000 litre sanitizers daily.
