Ponda: The employees associated with the Sanjivani sugar mill launched a tool down strike on Wednesday in the mill premises for recovery of pending arrears and ex-gratia of 2020-21.
According to the news report published in Heraldgoa.in, they had given a deadline to the management to clear the dues. However, as the Agriculture Department failed to fulfil their demands they proceeded on strike on Wednesday.
Heraldgoa.in had reported that the workers have complained that they have not received their salaries for the last two months. They have stated that they urged Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to take steps to address their issues before Ganesh Chaturthi.
