Saro Africa group to invest $125 million in ethanol and sugar production in Nasarawa

Saro Africa group, one of the leading sugar and ethanol producers, in West and Central Africa will be investing $125 million in Doma and Nasarawa Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State to produce ethanol and sugar.

The company will be investing for over five years and will focus on increasing sugarcane production in the region which will be processed to produce ethanol and sugar.

The multinational company has already acquired 15,000 hectares of land in Nasarawa and Doma Local Governments Areas for its proposed projects.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the company and the Nasarawa State Government in Abuja on Thursday. This is expected to boost the economy of the state and generate jobs directly or indirectly in the sugar sector.
