The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. On May 16, Sensex closed 180.22 points higher at 52,973.84. Nifty ended 60.15 points higher at 15,842.30.
In the previous season, on May 13, Sensex closed 136.69 points lower at 52,793.62. Nifty ended 25.85 points lower at 15,782.15.
Eicher Motors, Apollo Hospitals, NTPC, UPL and Bajaj Finance were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers included UltraTech Cement, Shree Cements, Asian Paints, Grasim Industries and ITC.
