Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on October 8, 2020, at 303.72 points high at 40,182.67. Nifty ended 95.75 points high at 11,834.60.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on October 7, 2020, at 304.38 points high at 39,878.95. Nifty ended 76.45 points high at 11,738.85.
Wipro, Cipla, TCS, UltraTech Cement and HCL Tech were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included ONGC, GAIL, Eicher Motors, ITC and Coal India.
