Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher on Tuesday. Sensex closed on August 18, 2020 at 477.54 points higher at 38,528.32. Nifty ended 138.25 points high at 11,385.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on August 18, 2020 at 173.44 points higher at 38,050.78. Nifty ended 68.70 points high at 11,247.10.
Grasim, UltraTech Cement, Kotak Mahindra Bank, JSW Steel and Zee Entertainment were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included BPCL, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Cipla and IOC.
