Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on January 19 at 656.04 points lower at 60,098.82. Nifty ended 174.65 points lower at 17,938.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 18 at 554.05 points lower at 60,754.86. Nifty ended 195.05 points lower at 18,113.05.
Asian Paints, Shree Cements, Infosys, Grasim Industries and HUL were the top Nifty losers, while gainers included ONGC, Tata Motors, SBI, Coal India and UPL.
