The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 2, Sensex closed 84.88 points lower at 56,975.99. Nifty ended 33.45 points lower at 17,069.10.
In the previous season, 0n April 29, Sensex closed 460.19 points lower at 57,060.87. Nifty ended 142.50 points lower at 17,102.55.
Apollo Hospitals, Eicher Motors, Titan Company, Bajaj Auto and Wipro were among the top Nifty losers, while gainers were IndusInd Bank, Coal India, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation and HDFC.
