Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 20 January at 393.83 points higher at 49,792.12. Nifty ended 123.55 points high at 14,644.70.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 19 January at 834.02 points higher at 49,398.29. Nifty ended 239.85 points high at 14,521.15.
Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Power Grid Corporation, Shree Cements, NTPC, GAIL and SBI Life.
