Sensex falls over 100 points; Nifty below 11300

Mumbai: BSE Sensex dropped over 100 points in early trade on July 24. Sensex was trading 104.13 points lower at 37,878.61 at 09:30 am. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty fell 38.30 points to 11,292.75.

HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, PowerGrid, TechM, HUL, SBI and HDFC Bank were among the top gainers up to 1.69 per cent.

Top losers in the Sensex pack included Vedanta, IndusInd Bank, M&M, Maruti, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel and RIL falling up to 1.99 per cent.

On the currency front, the Indian rupee depreciated 8 paise to 69.03 against the US dollar.

The global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading higher at 63.98 per barrel.
