Mumbai: Sensex on Wednesday was trading 207.41 points higher at 41,028.71, while NSE Nifty surged 59.30 points at 12,096.75 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:17 am, Sensex was trading at 41,015 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,098 points.
Yes Bank, Tata Motors, M&M, HDFC, HDFC Bank, Maruti, IndusInd Bank, Vedanta and TCS were among the top gainers.
ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, L&T and ITC were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 6 paise against the US dollar to trade at 71.43 in early session.
