Shahabad Markanda: The Shahabad sugar mill ended operations after crushing more sugarcane than the set target, reported Dainik Tribune.
Providing information, mill official said that in 138 days, the mill crushed 60 lakh 54 thousand 264 quintals of sugarcane and produced 6 lakh 20 thousand quintals of sugar with a recovery rate of 10.27 per cent. Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill has paid Rs 170 crore for the sugarcane purchased during these days, while the remaining amount of about Rs 63 crore will also be paid by the end of this month i.e. in the next 15 days.
