Small Sugar Eases On Poor Demand

Mumbai, Mar 19 (PTI) Small sugar eased further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on poor demand from stockists, retailers and bulk consumers.

While, medium sugar traded mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Small sugar (S-30) declined by Rs 11/20 per quintal to Rs 3,055/3,162 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 3,066/3,182.

Medium sugar (M-30) quoted at Rs 3,156/3,352 per quintal from Rs 3,150/3,366 previously.

Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,055/3,162 (Rs 3,066/3,182).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,156/3,352 (Rs 3,150/3,366). PTI BPD BAL BAL
