Mumbai, May 21 (PTI) Small sugar prices gained at the Vashi wholesale market today following good demand from the
stockists and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar prices ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 30/20 per quintal to Rs2,610/2,745 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 2,580/2,725.
However, medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,702/2,840 per quintal as compared to Rs 2,662/2,862, previously.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,610/2,745 (Rs 2,580/2,725).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,702/2,840 (Rs 2,662/2,862).
