‘Snakes Alert’ Issued By Flood-Hit Kerala, Hospital Inventories Filled With Anti-Venom Medicines As citizens of Kerala are coping up with tremendous loss due to floods, an issue of snakes has emerged in recent days. Water levels are reducing hence people have started getting back into their houses. Due to rose level water, snakes have been hiding in cupboards and washing machines in houses along with other appliances. As per local media, many reports of snake bites are emerging at several hospitals in the worst-hit areas of northern and central Kerala, therefore, medical authorities have stocked up anti-venom medicines and other required assistance against the issue. State authorities have roped up wildlife and local snake experts and have been instructed to assist such patients.
