Colombo: Sugar mill workers agitating against the decision to appoint an acting Chairman to replace Janaka Nimalachandra, who was the Chairman Sevenagala and Pelwatta sugar factory, are continuing their agitation.
Sisira Kumara, secretary of the Progressive Employees Union said that the strike would continue till they get a solution in writing from the authorities.
The maintenance work of the factory has come to a standstill due to the strike, he said.
