Kolhapur: District Collector Daulat Desai has warned the truckers carrying essential commodities like sugar, milk and others to avoid carrying passengers from their vehicles as it is illegal and may cause the spread of Coronavirus during a lockdown. He has warned of stern action against those who will be violating these rules.
Since the imposition of lockdown, the public transport systems have come to halt. The flow of people travelling from Pune and Mumbai to Kolhapur is increasing day by day and they are using available vehicles to reach their destination.
Desai has warned of strict action against those found in carrying passengers in sugar carrying and other vehicles.
