Sugar exports down in Zimbabwe

According to the media report, Zimbabwe has witnessed a dip in sugar exports by 86 per cent year on year in the first half year of 2021.

Expensive input costs are likely to result in a decline in sugarcane output in Zimbabwe this season.

According to the news report published in sundaymail.co.zw, the sector is expected to rebound as the year progresses with indications that local companies are making inroads in markets such as DRC and Tanzania.
