Sugar Falls On Reduced Demand

Mumbai, Apr 23 (PTI) Prices of both varieties of sugar fell at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers on the back
of ample stocks from producing region.

Small sugar (S-30) dipped by Rs 26/105 per quintal to Rs 2,706/2,820 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 2,732/2,925.

Medium sugar (M-30) also went down to Rs 2,800/3,000 as against Rs 2,806/3,090.

Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,706/2,820 (Rs 2,732/2,925Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,800/3,000 (Rs 2,806/3,090).
