Roorkee, Uttarakhand: In a relief to sugarcane farmers, Laksar sugar mill has cleared cane arrears of Rs 26.07 crore. According to the sugar mill administration, the cheque has been sent to Ganna Samiti.
The amount would be transferred to the bank accounts of the respective farmers this week. Sugarcane farmers claim due to non-payment of cane dues, they are facing a financial crisis. The amount would help them to meet their daily needs.
