Kolhapur: The tussle for election to the Rajaram cooperative sugar mill has entered into an interesting phase as MLC Satej Patil and former MLC Mahadevrao Mahadik have announced their panel of 21 candidates against each other, reports The Times of India.
Around 13,500 farmers from across 122 villages in the district will be electing the governing body of 21 directors for the sugar mill for the next five years.
Mahadik has influence on the mill for the last two and half decades and he is leading the panel. He as well as his son Amal has been nominated from his side.
