Sugar mill halts operations due to technical glitches

Ramala: Sugarcane crushing operations have come to a halt at the Ramala sugar mill due to a broken machine chain, reports Amar Ujala.

The mill’s engineers and technical staff are currently engaged in repairing the machine. Tractors carrying sugarcane are lined up at the weighing center, awaiting the opportunity to weigh their cane and proceed with the crushing process.

Farmers have expressed their concerns, noting that the mill has faced similar shutdowns in the past, causing them difficulties. One farmer, who is currently waiting to crush his cane, mentioned a similar incident occurring two weeks ago.

Ajay Kumar Yadav, the Chief Sugarcane Officer, stated that the engineers are actively working on repairing the broken chain.
