Shamali: Technical glitches in the machinery of the Shamali sugar mill are compelling it to operate at a lower pace, reports Amar Ujala.
The boiler of the mill was not operating due to some technical issues which led to slow crushing operations. Major roads in the city experienced traffic jams as the cane-carrying vehicles were parked on the side of the roads.
Sugar mills usually face breakdown in the crushing season, which causes trouble to sugarcane farmers.
