Sugar mills body donates Rs 51 lakh to chief minister relief fund

Kolhapur: Maharashtra State Co-operative Sugar Factories Federation has provided financial assistance of Rs 51 lakh to the chief minister relief fund to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Jayprakash Dandegaonkar, president of the Federation handed over the amount to the deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar.

The sugar industry in Maharashtra has always helped the state government in the time of crisis. The financial assistance has been provided after consulting with all the sugar mills associated with the federation, said the federation officials.
