Sugar mills help in providing free education during the Covid-19 pandemic

Hariyawan, Hardoi: The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all the sectors including the education sector with all the schools almost remaining closed. The sugar mills from this district have come up to help children continue their education during this pandemic. Three sugar mills from the district have started online education for school children in 62 villages with the help of Pratham Education Foundation.

According to the media report, the project named Khushhali has been launched by the three sugar mills namely Hariyawan, Loni and Rupapur. The sugar mills have deployed volunteers at each gram panchayat that are active on the ground in every village to ensure that this project works and helps students learn without any hurdles.

With an intention that study should not get hampered, mills have also provided tablet and mobile phones.
