Sugar mills scam: Manish Grover sends legal notice to MLA Kundu for maligning his reputation

Rohtak: BJP’s Manish Grover has sent a legal notice to Balraj Kundu, independent MLA from Meham constituency for allegedly maligning his image by taking his name in a “multi-crore scam” of sugar mills and other tendering process.

As per the notice, Kundu has been asked to reply within 15 days regarding the allegations he had made in public and press conference. If he fails, then criminal case will be registered against him.

Kundu in a press conference had demanded a probe in the decisions taken by Grover during his reign as a minister. He alleged that Grover is involved in a large scam of molasses in the Panipat sugar mill. The Panipat sugar mill does not have an account of 8,000 tonne molasses as Grover wanted to benefit to his daughter-in-law. The MLA further alleged that scam in the state sugar mills were committed to the tune of Rs 3,300 crore.
