Sugar minister assures of reviving Mysugar factory

Bengaluru: Sugar Minister Shankar Patil Munenakoppa in Legislative Assembly on Wednesday said that the government will do honest efforts to revive the Mysugar (Mysore Sugar Company Ltd) factory located in Mandya.

According to the news report published in The Hindu, the minister said he had already discussed the revival plan with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and other senior leaders. He was replying to the question raised by the JD(S) member and Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiiah over the closed sugar mill.

“We are taking steps to protect the interest of the farmers of Mandya district. I have twice met the Union Minister in this regard,” he said.
