Sugar price increases in Fiji

The prices of sugar in Fiji have been increased by 90 cents per kilogram from today, reports Fiji Times.

The prices have been increased after reviewing the financials of FSC consulting public, stated the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.

FCCC has issued a statement stating that the new prices have been determined after taking a review of the details submitted by the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) on 12 June 2021.

With the new prices, 1 kg sugar will cost $2.30 (Fijian Dollar), 2 kg will cost $4.60, 4 kg sugar will cost $9.20 and 25 kg sugar will cost $57.50.
