Sugar robbery case reported in Chhattisgarh

Champa, Chhattisgarh: Unidentified men broke open locks of a shutter of a ration shop owned by Seva Sahkari Samiti, Loharsi and decamped with sugar and rice from the shop. The culprits have stolen 34.50 quintal rice and 10 quintal sugar from the shop. The shop was located at the main road in Shivrinarayan, Bilaspur. Police have launched a search operation to nab the suspects.

Well, this is not the first time when the sweetness of sugar has attracted robbers, earlier too sugar robbery cases were reported. A few months ago, at the Dorangla police station in Gurdaspur, sugar robbery from a shop was reported.

In another case, a gang that had stolen sugar from a truck was arrested by the CIDCO Crime Recovery Team within just two hours. Also, a case of sugar theft was reported in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh where the sugar was stolen by breaking the lock of the government fair price shop.
