New Delhi: The stock market was down on Monday but the sugar stocks were trading higher at 10.39 AM.
The top gainers in the sugar sector were MAGADHSUGAR (up 12.44%), Uttam Sugar Mills (up 6.96%), Ugar Sugar Works (up 4.96%), Simbhaoli Sugars (up 4.83%), AVADHSUGAR (up 4.37%), EID Parry (up 4.33%), Mawana Sugars (up 7.03%), Shree Renuka Sugars (up 5.60%), DCM Shriram Industries (up 4.94%) and Rana Sugars (up 4.68%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 57155.04, down 1183.89 and the NSE Nifty50 index was trading 314.2 points down at 17161.45 at around 10.39 AM.
