Sultanpur: Sugar mill’s operations impacted after turbine’s panel catches fire

Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh): Due to the panel of the turbine catching fire on Sunday evening, the sugar mill operations came to a halt. The issue was resolved on Monday evening after equipment arrived from Shahjahanpur, reported Live Hindustan.

During this period, the sugar mill remained closed for around 25 hours. The Kisan cooperative sugar mill in Saidaipur is facing closure due to the old condition of the machinery.

As per news report in Live Hindustan, on Sunday evening, at 4 p.m., the electricity supply to the mill was cut off due to the turbine panel catching fire. As a result, the sugarcane crushing operation in the sugar mill came to a standstill. Engineers worked on resolving the issue on Monday night but were unable to fix the problem in the panel. Subsequently, the panel was procured from the Tilhar sugar mill in Shahjahanpur. The engineers successfully rectified the problem in the turbine on Monday at 5 p.m.

In this regard, CCO Ved Prakash Shukla informed that the issue has been resolved.
