Taiwan purchases 56,300 tonnes of US-origin wheat

The European traders have stated that Taiwan Four Millers’ Association has purchased 56,300 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States through a tender.

The purchased wheat will arrive in Taiwan between May 10 and May 24.

The trading house United Grain Corporation is believed to sell wheat to Taiwan.

The purchased wheat involves U.S. dark northern spring wheat having 14.5% protein bought at $355.56 per tonne FOB U.S. Pacific Northwest coast, said traders.

It also includes red winter wheat having 12.5% protein content bought at $357.05 per tonne FOB and soft white wheat having 8.5% to 10% protein bought at $287.11 per tonne FOB.
