Telangana: Demand to revive sugar mill

Nizamabad: Shareholders of the Nizamabad Sugars launched padayatra demanding the government to revive the Nizamabad Cooperative Sugar Factory (NCSF) or handover the mill to the Farmers Producers Organisation (FPO).

K Sai Reddy, NCSF protection committee chairman K Sai Reddy led the padayatara and it will cover 90 villagers spread across eight mandals and will conclude in front of the office of the Nizamabad collector. A massive public meeting will also be organised on the same day. Several members of the other organisations including Mohini Misra, national general secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) and other members were present during the launch of the padayatra.

“The government should either revive the sugar mill or handover it to the shareholders-promoted FPO,” said K Sai Reddy on the occasion.
