Rampur, Uttar Pradesh: Sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh are taking steps to clear the pending cane payment. Triveni sugar mill (Milak Narayanpur unit) has also cleared the cane dues of Rs 1,683 lakh on July 31.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, in the crushing season 2020-21, a total payment of Rs 24,790 lakh was made to the sugarcane farmers. The mill had procured 77.23 lakh quintal cane from the farmers.
Bhupendra Singh, GM of the sugar mill has appealed to the sugarcane farmers to use quality disease-resistant cane seeds to increase cane output.
