Tunisia’s sugar imports down by 52.1 per cent in February 2024

In its latest bulletin, the National Agricultural Observatory (ONAGRI) reported a 52.1% decline in Tunisia’s sugar imports for February 2024 compared to the same period last year.

Sugar imports constituted 5.6% of the country’s total imports, valued at 66.8 million dinars, down from 139.3 million dinars in February 2023.

Additionally, the volume of sugar imports decreased by 63%, from 74.1 thousand tons in February 2023 to 27.4 thousand tons in February 2024, while sugar import prices rose by 29.4%.
