Sugar production in Ukraine has reached 894,700 tonnes by December 4. According to the National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor, 30 sugar factories are operating in the country that has processed 6.75 million tonnes of sugar beet. The sugar processing season began in the country on September 5.
It has been estimated that Ukraine would produce 1.2 million tonnes of sugar in 2020, 15 per cent less than the previous year.
