Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has not yet announced the state advisory price for sugarcane for the 2023-24 crushing season, even though the crushing season has already begun, reported Live Hindustan.
Two key meetings are scheduled to take place to discuss the price, one chaired by the sugarcane commissioner and the other by the chief secretary. These meetings will be attended by representatives from sugar mills and sugarcane farmers.
After hearing from both sides, the chief secretary will submit a proposal to the cabinet for approval. The new price will be announced after the cabinet approves it.
