Uttar Pradesh to set up Oxygen Generators in 75 districts

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is setting up oxygen generators in 75 districts of the state to overcome the shortage of oxygen supply which is much needed to treat Covid-19 patients.

The department of Excise and Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Department has initiated the process following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The department has identified as many as 79 hospitals in 75 districts including Community Health Centres (CHCs) located in urban as well as rural areas and is expecting to supply oxygen to more than 3500 beds.

The cost for setting up the plant is around Rs 50-60 lakh. The concerned DM and CMO will undertake the task with the help of the concerned excise unit and sugar mills.
