Rudrapur, Uttarakhand: Demanding the commencement of the sugarcane crushing season from November 15, a delegation of Congress representatives met with Trilok Singh Martolia, the Director of the Kichha sugar mill. The Congress members expressed that after timely sugarcane supply, farmers would find it more convenient to sow wheat crops, reported Live Hindustan.
On Tuesday, under the leadership of Dr. Ganesh Upadhyay, a senior Congress leader, the delegation convened at the administrative office of the sugar mill. Upadhyay highlighted the challenges faced by farmers, emphasizing that their income had been reduced by more than half due to inflation and the impact of natural disasters. Farmers are currently grappling with financial difficulties.
