Uttarakhand: Farmer asks government to clear his cane dues

Roorkee, Uttarakhand: Yashpal Tyagi, a farmer based in Tashipur village has demanded the government to pay him Rs 8.50 lakh pending with the sugar mill as he needs money for treatment of his grandson who is suffering from cancer and is admitted in Apollo hospital in Delhi.

According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, he said that he spent Rs 9 lakh for the treatment of his grandson, and the money was borrowed from his relatives and friends. He still needs funds for the treatment and is left with no option but to sell his house. He claims the sugar mill owes Rs 8.50 lakh pending cane dues to him and asked the government to take steps to clear pending cane dues.
