Bazpur, Uttarakhand: A delegation of farmers met the GM of the Bazpur sugar mill on Tuesday to request to start the crushing season, reported Amar Ujala.
The general manager, Harbeer Singh, assured the farmers that the crushing season would begin within a week. He said that the mill’s boiler would be lit on November 24.
The farmers also toured the mill to see the ongoing repairs. The delegation included Jasvir Singh Bhullar, Gurcharan Singh Paddda, Jitender Pal Singh, and Karamjit Singh.
The chief sugarcane officer, Dr. Rajiv Arora, Narayan Singh, and Sompal were also present.
